I've joined the 21st century

Here’s the first post in my migration away from a lifetime addiction to USENET news postings! Actually I visited this century 25 years ago, but there was no-one here then, so I went back. I have vast swathes of archived text to trawl through and maybe post, but don’t worry, I won’t bore you with anything that’s not of current relevance.
I do have wide range of interests, so I’m going to try my best to create relevant categories, because I’m sure that none of you will be interested in all the things I am.
My main area of professional obsession is with executable models (one step beyond Model Driven Architecture), conceptual information modeling for databases, and high-level application design and implementation tools. If that means nothing to you, just remember that I’m a software toolmaker! I also develop web applications using Ruby on Rails - available for hire.
I’m the main author of the ActiveFacts toolset, the first production-oriented toolkit for fact-based (conceptual) information models.
I also build guitars, electronics, rockets, and dozens of other things, so there’ll be something here for everyone.
